Bedroom Feng Shui
Being guided by the feng shui rules in hopes of an improved lifestyle is not something recent. From ancient times, people have tried to attract positive energies from the environment and channel them in their favor.
When it comes to the bedroom, under no circumstances should you ignore the feng shui. Even if you don’t truly believe in it, what do you have to lose?
The bed should be your first concern. Place the bed in a way that allows you to see both the door and the window; this is supposed to give you a sense of security. Never place the bed so that you will sleep with the feet towards the door; this is considered a lethal position (in the Chinese culture, the dead are removed from the house feet first). For a harmonious Chi, you need natural fiber sheets, like flax or cotton. Nothing should be synthetic. For a peaceful sleep, avoid spring mattresses. The fields given off by them are very harmful.
The temptation of having a large mirror in the bedroom is present in most individuals, but we advise you not to fall into this trap. The reflective surfaces agitate the energies and your sleep will be disturbed. If you are not willing to give up the idea of having a mirror in the bedroom, at least make sure it’s not positioned facing the bed or the entrance. Covering it while you sleep would be the ideal solution though.
We can talk a lot about the bedroom feng shui, but it would be a long and tortuous discussion.
We don’t want to make you study this philosophy in every detail, so we are going to give you some more tips: in the marital space, you should have a diffuse light to outline the warm and relaxed atmosphere and you should avoid strong Yang colors in decorations (red, yellow, orange).
The best colors to decorate the bedroom are pastel or neutrals: cream, peach, butter white, green, pale blue.
